Network of NGOs of Trinidad and Tobago for the Advancement of Women, municipal offices, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gender, Youth and Child Development, Ministry of Planning and Social Development, Ministry Tertiary Education and Skills Training, Ministry of Sport, Ministry of National Security and the IDB.

The project aims at creating safe spaces for at-risk women and girls by providing workshops that will reinforce confidence and self-esteem, sexuality education, and empowerment. Within the framework of the Women’s City Trinidad and Tobago program (to be implemented), it seeks to reduce the incidence of social norms that perpetuate economic and social exclusion.

About 600 at-risk youth women and girls 10-25 years old, and communities located in Port Spain, Princess Town and Maloney.

What is being evaluated?
The effectiveness of providing safe spaces to participants in the Port Spain city. Changes on indicators regarding gender equality, self-esteem among girls and youth women, and increases in savings and employment. Attitudinal changes among other members of the community will be also measured.

Evaluation design in progress.
